Here are some of my
favorite links, people in the business of glass for whom
I have high regard, or organizations that have
contributed much to the art of glassblowing.
Raiford Gallery
Raiford Gallery, in Roswell, Georgia has been selected
as one of the country’s top 100 galleries for the past 5
years by American Style Magazine. Judy Raiford operates
one of the most exciting
galleries in the Atlanta area, but unfortunately, it
does not have a website -- but the word does get around.
Bob has been exhibiting there for the past two years.

Lumpkin Stained Glass
Wayne Lumpkin designs, constructs and installs some of
the most beautiful and dramatic stained glass windows in
the Southeast for churches, businesses and homes. Wayne
is also an accomplished glass blower. Visitors to his
shop in Huntsville, AL can see and purchase some of his
unique blown pieces.
Janke Studios
Matt Janke started Atlanta’s first hot glass shop about
ten years ago. A graduate of Kent State University’s
glass program, today Matt runs a thriving enterprise
where he produces a line of beautiful lighting fixtures,
commission pieces and large sculptural works. He also
offers classes and operates an impressive art gallery
devoted to the work of outstanding local glassblowers.
Stone Mountain Park
In addition to being one of the great natural wonders of
the world, Stone Mountain Park near Atlanta is noted for
its Crossroads attraction, an 1870’s village complete
with period costumes, lots of entertainment and
craftspeople. Be sure to check out the blacksmith,
candle maker and above all, the glassblowing demos and
shop. See master glassblower Allen Bush, Amanda Morris,
and yours truly create unique pieces of art
before your eyes.
Sally Rogers
Sally is one of the country’s leading glass artists and
an early teacher of mine at Penland School of Crafts
near Ashville, NC. Her enthusiasm and skill was an
inspiration to all her students. Her current focus is on
large multi-media sculptural works.
Flowers of Giverny
Terry Furuta operates one of the largest flower shops in
the area north of Atlanta, GA. Known for its magnificent
one-of-kind floral arrangement, Flowers of Giverny also
offers Robert Meyers glass vases to its clientele.
